We are given the most magnificent of gifts upon our entry into this world- our mind. Our mind has many functions that it’s capable of, but one thing it didn’t come with is an owner’s manual. Of course, that’s not entirely bad- what do we do with the owner’s manual for some of our most expensive investments? We throw it in the glove compartment, don’t we? Oh, we have it there in case we get stuck on how to do something we know our vehicle is supposed to do but we don’t know how yet. We also consult it about the minimum of care we need to give our vehicle to keep the warranty intact.
We go to school and we figure that the educated people in school are there to sharpen our minds but we make a foolish assumption when we do this- that they knew what was best for they themselves as they became “educated” to the point of where they were able to teach. No, actually- this idea is a misnomer from the beginning of whenever that idea began. Formal education has traditionally been about the gathering and memorization of facts. The greatest and most productive thing we can do with our mind is to think. We have the internet today, folks. We have research tools everywhere. Facts are a dime a dozen, in fact, much cheaper than that- maybe a dime a gigabyte.
Why would you want to clutter up a perfectly good mind with trivial facts? Now we’re not saying that having a good basic understanding of things isn’t a great starting point from which to ponder- but we are saying that if you want to change your life dramatically for the better, pouring facts into your head isn’t the way to do it. You were given the creative power to achieve whatever it is you want to achieve. You were given a dutiful subconscious mind which will take your thoughts and transform them into reality as you impress upon it with repeated, passionate, and faithful effort. Why do people dwell on learning facts?
Spend your free time thinking. Spend some free time dreaming of your big goals and how great it will be when you accomplish them. Napoleon Hill, author of multiple books on success and the most important book on this subject, Think and Grow Rich pointed out that general knowledge is of but little use in accomplishing big things. Specialized knowledge is what he recognized as the stuff that makes great things happen. Where can specialized knowledge be obtained? From within, but it requires thinking. From within, when it attracts to us the people, places, and events we need in order to get to where we set our minds on. It attracts from within! When we put the thing we want to accomplish upon the altar of thought and get very clear about it; when we do this with passion as we see ourselves accomplishing now what it is we wish to do; when we give thanks now for what it is- then we are powerfully moving all things and circumstances everywhere into harmony with our mission. That’s the creative process, that’s The Law of Attraction in action.
