Make Life Fun
“Enjoy life with us! Because life is phenomenal! It’s a magnificent trip!” - Bob Proctor
We’ve spent some time talking about adding fun to various essential disciplines for success, now let’s talk about “the big one”- having fun in all we do. Life can be wonderfully fun, an expression of the outermost heights of joy and happiness, a completely rewarding and marvelous journey. The secret to it all is to create it in your thoughts the way you want it to be, and then to dwell on those thoughts as you go about your day focused on keeping all the positive feelings within your heart, and the best one to start with is FUN. If you’re having fun, does time seem to matter? Of course not! If you’re having fun, do you want to stop what you’re doing? No!
The way to make life fun is to find out what it is you love to do, something that makes you feel so good you could instantly be in a great mood by doing it, and then do it! It’s different for everybody, but finding out what that thing is that you want to do with your life is what drives the fun-o-meter off the charts! You are the product of your thoughts- think about that. You are what you are because of what you think! Get to where you habituate the thinking that everything you do, all the work, all the play and each passing moment is fun and it will be! It works on your command!
“Fun is good.” - Dr. Seuss
You decide what mood you’re in, no one has one ounce of control over your emotional state of mind but you- unless you allow it. Learn to get better and better at keeping your control over your moods all to yourself and then make it your objective to stay in the state of having fun! Look for humor, look for laughter, look for bliss and you can’t help but find it! If you look for misery, then misery will be all over you like stink on a monkey!
So what can we do to make our lives more fun?
“Creativity is a great motivator because it makes people interested in what they are doing. Creativity gives hope that there can be a worthwhile idea. Creativity gives the possibility of some sort of achievement to everyone. Creativity makes life more fun and more interesting.” – Edward de Bono
Get busy thinking creatively, get busy on what brings you joy as you do it. Rarely do material possessions bring long lasting real personal joy, but it’s still fun to have the means to acquire whatever you want whenever you want- and by finding a way to create joy in others lives, we can do just that. Creating fun and happiness with others is one way to put yourself on the fast track for fun in your own life.
