Manifesting Spirituality – Part 2, What is it?
Science is at an unusual juncture, it would seem to us right now that we know enough to know that we don’t know enough and we have a good enough view of what is to understand at this point that we may never know all of the mysteries. Many ancients including Plato believed that atoms existed, and we’ve found a lot of things out since then about them. What we have figured out to date has been, well, quite strange. Remember the models in school showing us atoms as if they were a multiple-planet nucleus surrounded by somewhat smaller particles orbiting the center? Well, it’s an interesting illustration but not nearly as strange as the reality of what apparently is.
Imagine it like our solar system, and then imagine the earth making an instantaneous jump from our orbital path to where Venus is orbiting now. Imagine that we didn’t go through space to get there, but just vanished and immediately showed up in the new orbit. This is only the beginning of what’s weird and different at this level. Things seem to be able to be in multiple positions at the same time, things seem to be connected in such a way as to be able to communicate information instantly through vast regions of seemingly empty space and more. These are the quantum theories, and while there may be other theories yet to come along, and almost certainly they will, there is so much we’ve shown to be true under this set of theories that we will never go back to the simpler days of Einstein.
What does any of this have to do with Spirituality? For one thing, we haven’t discovered what life is, where it comes from, why it exists and what it’s about. We haven’t found anything through our ability to look and manipulate the very tiny which explains any of this. We have discovered possible mechanisms through which Spirituality might operate, but we still don’t know scientifically what Spirituality is yet. We have seen some interesting parallels between Spirituality and energy at least on a theoretical basis. Lastly, what we really do get at this stage of the game is that the closer we’ve felt we were coming to the answers about what is, the more perplexing it all seems to be.
Now, back to our built-in guidance system, the one which whispers to us always as to what is right and what is wrong? Where does that harken from? How could it be that we all have this, yet we so often ignore the tender and loving advice? Could a reason why we all must run this experiment called life for ourselves be so as to have had a chance to experience something valuable of an eternal nature? Spirituality is not a simple subject, yet becoming more in tune with our Spiritual self isn’t a complicated process. In fact, it’s amazingly simple, yet subtle. That’s our next step in this quest. Question of the Day to Ask Ourselves
“Where did my Spiritual self come from?”
