Choose it or Have it Chosen
In life we have an incredible opportunity to create our world and stock it with anything at all we wish to have, to do, or to be. Most people don’t really believe this to be true, most people believe their lives are at the mercy of outside forces acting upon them. Most people spend their lives bumping from one circumstance to another, from one event to the next, and from one heartbreak to an even bigger one. That’s what their life is like, so that’s what they believe is true. No one can tell them anything different, their senses thus far have completely convinced them of the “wisdom” of this belief.
Yet… when it comes to people we truly consider to be wise, uncommonly wise- the greats who walk the earth today and the truly great people, great thinkers of all time- they speak of a different world entirely. They don’t see things the way that most people do. One of the most perplexing mysteries of all time is why would we hold such “wise” people in such high esteem if they are so clearly wrong? According to how most of us choose to live, what they speak of just doesn’t seem possible. If it’s not possible, then aren’t these people- these “wise avatars” fools?
If we go and compare who we hold in the highest regard and their messages for us to our jaded beliefs of how trapped we are in this reality we believe to be victims of, we ourselves can reach a deeper, more meaningful understanding. There’s a catch in all of this. We are indeed trapped in a very real sense of the world. Oh, there is a way to break free of the chains which bind us, but most of us won’t do it. Until we choose, our fate is chosen for us. We can either live in the misery of our own creation or we can create something better.
What is your purpose in life? What would you love to do? What would you love to be and to have? Write it down, start out as Bob Proctor suggests, “I am so happy and grateful now that….” and then create your life the way you want it to be. Either that or go on with, “I’m so miserable and screwed…” and then don’t forget to tell everyone why. Just keep in mind that it’s a self-inflicted destiny either way. Those folks you hold in high regard… that’s what they believe.
