Daily Nugget of Gold 930
We were just talking about seeing ourselves as creators of our own destiny, and that we do this either for good or for bad. Now let’s say that you’ve decided to be a creator of good for yourself. Let’s also say you want to be more, do more, or have more- whatever it is, there is something else you should believe before any of that will come true- you should believe that you deserve more.
This is a tricky one because no one knows us better than we know ourselves, or so we might think. We are usually aware of many of our faults and flaws and those occasions when we intentionally or unintentionally hurt other people, too. We know about how angry we get and how sometimes we give into temptation even if it might have a destructive element in the people’s lives around us or even our own. In short, we know the dirty details, the dark secrets, the skeletons in the closet as far as we are concerned.
Realizing that- and also realizing that we cannot manifest good things in our lives unless we actually believe that we deserve them, how do we overcome this rather formidable obstacle? Here’s some help with that.
Vow to work daily on becoming a better person. Remember that while you are a flawed human being, so is every other person on the planet. Forgive yourself and forgive others for their shortcomings. Forgive fully and completely, let go of any grudges, vivid memories of pain, anger, and resentment. You want to forgive yourself just as completely as you forgive anyone and everyone.
Every time you have contact with another human being you have an opportunity to make them feel special about themselves with some genuine, heartfelt praise. Give of yourself, give of what gifts you have.
Spend time in the environment you wish to create for yourself. The more you see yourself as part of your dreams, as living in the dream you have- the more you are likely to believe and understand that you actually do deserve what you desire. You’ll grow into it, in other words. You can readily convince yourself to be deserving of any outcome you wish to have- and if you don’t think that’s possible, look at the reality you find yourself in today- that’s what you believe you deserve right now. You deserve better!
