Boiling Water and Money Beliefs
We humans know a lot of things by the time we reach adulthood, don’t we? We’ve been taught that water boils at 212 degrees and is a good conductor of electricity. We’ve seen evidence of that when we boil water ourselves and when we read about people injured when lightning strikes a lake where people are swimming, after all. These things tend to underscore what we were taught about how water acts. Neither one is nearly the whole truth. If you were to purify (distill or double distill) water, it would not only go beyond that boiling point if microwaved in a glass container, for instance- without boiling, but it would also be a poor conductor of electricity. The minute amount of minerals in “normal” water are what makes it boil at 212 degrees (and that’s an approximation when done at sea level, too) and they also make it a good conductor of electricity.
Most of us have learned the “Cliff Notes” version of how water works, and if we were to rely upon such shallow logic if we were running scientific experiments, we would be coming to a great many wrong conclusions, wouldn’t you agree? To see how complex a topic this is, do a little research on Wikipedia and look up “distilled water”, “conductivity”, and “boiling point”. Just a glance will let you know how little you really did know about what you knew. (PHEW!)
Now consider this: Most of us aren’t experts when it comes to the operation of the conscious and subconscious mind. Even the experts don’t agree on everything, making it even more difficult to arrive at the truth. Still, there seems to be a great deal of evidence for the impressive powers we are granted in regards to the operation of our mind, should we learn more about the subject and begin to apply what we’ve learned Why do that? If so far “thinking happy thoughts” hasn’t landed you where you want to be yet, perhaps running the experiment with a little more knowledge on how to scientifically produce the results you wish to see is in order.
The good news is this: If anyone can do this, you can. If people from all sorts of educational levels, abilities or disabilities can succeed, you have a shot at it too. If someone has even more limitations than you do and they make it, your excuses for why it’s not happening yet in your life begin to fall away. It doesn’t take the mind of a rocket scientist to figure this stuff out. If it did, then the world of success wouldn’t be such an equal-opportunity club.
Next time let’s look a little more closely at the beliefs we’ve had and accepted as true which might be holding us back and let’s vaporize them.
