The Wisdom of Robert Collier

For those folks who paid close attention to the book or the movie of the same name, The Secret, Robert Collier was mentioned and quoted by the author of the book and the creator of the movie, Rhonda Byrne. We thought it would be interesting and fun to see what else the self help author, Collier, had said in his day.

If you see yourself as prosperous, you will be. If you see yourself as continually hard up, that is exactly what you will be.” – Robert Collier

In The Secret, Rhonda Byrne claimed that her research into The Law of Attraction led her back to some of the greatest thinkers in history. She was on a mission to find out where this information came from and while Collier didn’t originate this magnificent law, he was one of the founders of the modern day teachings on it.

Take the first step, and your mind will mobilize all its forces to your aid. But the first essential is that you begin. Once the battle is startled, all that is within and without you will come to your assistance.” – Robert Collier

That quote above, does it sound familiar? Here is another quote later on from another highly respected source:

Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Some more from Collier:

Plant the seed of desire in your mind and it forms a nucleus with power to attract to itself everything needed for its fulfillment.” – Robert Collier

Any thought that is passed on to the subconscious often enough and convincingly enough is finally accepted.” – Robert Collier

We hope we’ve piqued your interest In Collier’s work, his book is The Secret of the Ages, it was published in 1926.
