“Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.” – Saint Francis de Sales

What to Choose
Alright, we’ve laid a lot of groundwork to get to this point. A quick review here is in order: The actions of The Law of Attraction are entirely within our control. We create the inner world we have and thus we are in control of our outer reality. The negative circumstances we see outside of ourselves, therefore, are actually a reflection of cracks and flaws within ourselves. Most people will never see things this way, preferring instead to blame outside circumstances and events on someone or something else. You have the freedom to choose to think and feel differently, however.
When someone does something which would anger most people, you can say to yourself something different. “I choose to add energy only to positive situations” This is different and better than even saying “I choose not to add energy to this situation” something your author recently did and now realizes the mistake made. Examining closely the difference between these two approaches will benefit the reader greatly.
When someone does something, or some circumstance arises which most people find frustrating, we can say, “I choose to reveal to myself the gift contained in this lesson”, or maybe, “I choose to find humor in this situation”. Both of these inner commands keep our focus on the wealth received rather than anything negative.
People often think of themselves as being enlightened for saying, “I’m not angry” but the anger is still contained in that sentiment and since it’s within, it becomes part of our outer reality- by law. “I choose to stay in a happy, positive, state of mind at all times” may sound “unrealistic” to the student of The Law of Attraction in the beginning, but we can assure you that it’s a possible and achievable ideal just the same.
We’ve often admired Tom Hopkins 5 sentiments on “I never see failure as failure” such as #2. “I never see failure as failure, but only as the negative feedback I need to change course in my direction.” but we can rephrase this to make it a more empowering statement. “I choose to see only the opportunities unveiled in every situation as I receive feedback”. In our re-wording here, we’ve removed failure as a possibility and we see all feedback in a positive or neutral light. As Adam Savage of Mythbusters points out- “We obtained a result.” Results are not positive or negative, they just are.
The choices we make are ours and ours alone. Things happen, people do things. What we feel about what happens and what people do is entirely up to us. Therefore, we are in full control of what The Law of Attraction will deliver to our doorstep.
Question of the Day to Ask Ourselves
“As our outer reality is a reflection of our inner self, how can I change things for the better?”
