Finding and Pursuing Your Purpose

Mr L’s Guide to Finding Your Purpose and Pursuing It

You will live a much happier and more fulfilled life if you are on a mission to do something special with your life. Remember, you were born with the seed of greatness within you. There’s something calling your name, something bigger than anything you can imagine right now- something special that you and only you can give in your own unique way. Don’t let this seed go unnoticed. Don’t let your life go by just rebounding from one thing to another. You have so much to contribute and you’ll never be happy with life or yourself unless you reach into yourself and make it happen. “Life takes on meaning when you become motivated, set goals and charge after them in an unstoppable manner.” – Les Brown

First- Find your purpose: When you go to bed at night before you nod off, ask yourself, “What is my purpose, what is it that I’d love to do?” Wait patiently for the answer to come. It may be one night, two weeks, a month or more. Keep an open mind, the answer when it comes by astound you and surprise you. It will likely come in the form of a hunch, a gut feeling, or an intuitive thought. Act on it. See how it feels. If it feels right, if it feels like you could do it all day, if it’s fun for you- you’ve found it.

Do what you love to do and you will never work a day in your life”

Second- Build your vision: See yourself as a product of the end result in your mind as you go to bed at night, when you wake up in the morning and anytime you can quiet your mind. Dream in color, add detail, and see it clearly. Don’t worry about how you’ll do it. Dream big! Little dreams don’t inspire! Make it outrageously big! See it as a thing you’ve already done in your mind and give thanks for it! Don’t miss this step! If you are giving thanks then you are affirming your belief in what you’ve said you wanted and your ability to do it. Keep dreaming daily, don’t stop.

Third- As you get hunches on what you should do next- act on them: The second step above is generating these hunches for you. That’s why you should never stop seeing this in your mind, that’s why you should stay excited, stay motivated, and remember- you’re on the most important mission of your life- act that way.

Forth- Stay away from negative people: Stay away from doubters. Don’t go into details of your vision with people who don’t encourage you. Begin at once to surround yourself with people who know more about what you want to do than you do. Hunger for knowledge, learn all you can through books, video, audio about what you want to do. This isn’t work- this is fun.

Fifth- Use motivational material to your advantage: Any small price you pay for motivational material will return far more than you paid for it- if anything. Much of this is available to see free on You Tube. Never go a day without using this to pump you up, to keep you excited. Motivation is not permanent, but neither is bathing, and I would not suggest you go without bathing daily Zig Ziglar says. When choosing audio or video, listen to it or watch it at least 16 times in order to get all the information from it and internalize it, otherwise you are likely wasting your time or money.

Sixth- Ask for help when you need it: Mr L’s newsletter is a two way street. Email for guidance or in the event you don’t understand something about using The Law of Attraction to achieve success. Remember- YOU can do it! You are special and unique and you have your own gift to give the world. Don’t let this extremely short life you have here on earth go by without your doing something significant with your life!

Mr. L’s Suggested Reading/Listening/Watching List for Rapid Personal Development

The Secret– by Rhonda Byrne – This is a movie AND a book. The movie in particular is an awesome introduction to how The Law of Attraction works. Keep in mind, it’s only introducing you to it. Further study on your part will help you work the law in your favor more often. There is an additional soundtrack on the DVD, it runs the full length of the movie- after viewing the movie several times, go to Special Features and click on commentary, then start the movie again to hear that.

Beyond The Secret by Holli Walker – Movie- a great companion to The Secret and an awesome motivational presentation geared at getting you to take action with what you’ve learned with The Secret. Bob Proctor is in this one, too, and it also features Les Brown among many others.

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill – This book is considered one of the most comprehensive guides for becoming wealthy in all areas of your life. Hill researched over 500 leaders in preparation for this book and spent a great deal of time preparing it. The language is a little archaic, but the book is a must-read.

The Power of Your Subconscious Mind – by Dr. Joseph Murphy – An excellent book for getting to know how to use the bulk of your mind- the subconscious sphere of operation. If you fail to get your subconscious mind on board, there’s no way you will ever accomplish anything near what you are capable of.

The Magic of Thinking Big – by David Schwartz, Ph.D – It takes no more effort to think BIG than to think small. Dr. Schwartz goes into detail on how to think big, and relates story after story along the way to illustrate his points.
